I'm looking for some free pre-staff Christmas music - but with note names, not finger numbers. I checked out Susan Paradis's site but she seems to only have finger numbers, and then staff reading - nothing in between (unless I've missed sommething....)

The PA primer Christmas book is too much for these two students at this point - there'll be too much of the book they can't do yet.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There are two great pre-reading holiday publications arranged by Nancy and Randall Faber, Pre-Reading Christmas and My First Piano Adventure Christmas Book A.

Pre-Reading Christmas is a little more sophisticated and challenging. Take a look inside:

And here's a post that documents exactly what skills are needed for each My First Piano Adventure Christmas Book. Christmas Book A sounds like it could be the best fit for your students:

Thanks Jon - I'll see if it's available in my local store. There isn't time at this point to wait for something to be shipped.

Is anyone aware of any free online resources?

Thanks again Jon - I found the MFPA Christmas book at my local store this evening and it definitely has some material the two students can use. I also picked up a second book (the equivalent book from Alfred) so between the two, I should have enough music for both boys to play at the recital without duplicating each other.
