In the Faber song Swing Low Sweet Chariot base clef there is a whole note. In the treble clef at the beginning of the measure there is an eight note cord tied to three more eighth notes on beats "one and two and". Beats "three and" are two more tied eighth notes and beat four is a quarter note. A carrot is under the first eight note cord in the treble clef and under the whole note in the base clef. A solid line from there connects the rest of the notes in the measure. So pedal up on the first eighth note cord then when do you pedal down? On beat two which is the third eighth note or the second eighth note on beat "one and" which requires very fast up and down pedal? I am teaching myself.
