I'm getting up to teaching the Grand Staff to several of my beginning students, and I watched one of Nancy's Primer level videos where she uses a small whiteboard that has two staves on it, nothing else. Do any of you know where to get one of these? I found some with three staves, and some with the treble clef and bass clef drawn in, but none without. Even if you don't know of any "plain" ones, could you recommend any whiteboards that you've bought before and loved? I travel to students' houses, so I would need a small handheld size. Thanks!

While I don't like LIttle Mozarts - or Music for Mozarts - or whatever that early method is called - I really like their whiteboards.

I have 2 of them.

They are about 8 1/2 X 11 in size. One side has a regular grand staff. The other side has a keyboard on the top with a large blank spot under it. It comes with 5 black and 5 blue magnets.

I have to superglue the plastic things on the side from time to time - but other than that, I love it. It's less expensive than some of the others I've found.

The kids really like the magnets.

wow, those dryerase.com ones are very nice, and made in the U.S.!! But sadly, the ones with music notation you have to buy huge quantities (30) and that is expensive.

This is from the dryerase.com site:

* We at The Markerboard People sell our student dry erase boards in full class sets at unbeatable prices. We know that some of you may only need one or two boards. We will now sell you single boards at the same price per board as our class sets.

Did you contact them?

I made my own - printed them on the computer and had them laminated at Staples. Cheap and easy!

Wow...printing your own....what a great idea! You can clip them to a clipboard to make them have a sturdy surface for lap work too!
