I was browsing the forum, and I noticed that the posts were from 2000-2010. And in 2000-2001. There was a post about PA 6. I was wondering, 9 years later, if PA 6 was even in development? Also, are any more books being made by Faber & Faber? Thanks.

Hello Arlene,

We've focused over recent years on developing curricula for the young beginners. in addition to new supporting publications for My First Piano Adventures, we'll soon be releasing our course for the four-year old.

Nancy and I had sketched out PA Level 6 Lesson Book and will release publications at this level, but there are other publications which are first in the "pipeline."

This is an exciting time as we can again provide the Faber & Faber publications and support you've come to expect. There will be no plethora of new publications, but each will have real value in the studio.

All the best,
Randy and Nancy

Thanks, Randy, for the heads up. I think many of us are looking forward to your 4 year old course. Do you think it will be out within the year? Please get it out before my grandson turns 4!

Nancy, do you plan to add anything to your sheet music collection? They have always been a big hit with my students.

Thanks! It will be interesting to see what PA6 is like.

Do understand the emphasis on putting out early beginner material; after all the ratio of beginners to advanced level students tends to be high, since many kids drop out or get into guitar or band after 2-3 years of piano lessons.

I have one teen student who has completed PA5 and another who is nearing its end, in contrast to 4-5 who are in MFPA A....

For years I've been wishing for PA6. I hope it's released by the time Little Pepper reaches that level. She loves PA and is progressing at a rapid rate.

Thanks Randy and Arlene! I guess you just can't rush perfection. And Jala, what level is Little Pepper in and how old is she?

Little Pepper just recently turned 12 (is completing 7th grade) and is now in PA3A. She juggles piano with flute (she plays flute in concert band -- auditioned for symphonic band last week and is waiting to hear if she made it) and advanced academic classes. Ever since she performed in the school talent show this year, she has practiced a lot more and has made dramatic progress. I guess something had to motivate her, and the fact that there are other girls at her school who also play piano sparked her interest. At any rate, she's come a long way since getting more serious about it and devoting more time to practice.

That's good to hear. Students can make a lot of progress in middle school if they will work. It's like something clicks.
