I'm just curious. What kind of pianos do all of you teach on??

When I began teaching, I taught on an old Baldwin Spinet. It had moved with me 5 times, and it was doing well, except for the fact that the name "Baldwin" right above Middle C had fallen off (It was screwed on) and broken, turning my piano indo a "Dwin".

After that piano, I had a very horrible, terrible, yucky Hundai (yes, they make pianos) 4' 11" grand. I got that because as I was in the middle of a great depression over not having a grand piano, it was offered to me very cheap. I soon learned why.

So over a period of years I saved up my pennies and read "The Piano Book", and now I have a Kawai RX-2 which I love.

So I was wondering what other people have, and if it's what they have always had.

Can I assume that PlaySteinway has a Steinway?

I have a Roland KR570, and a Wurlitzer Spinet for me as a second piano.

Yahama c3, i think. Before 60 yr old baby grand that had really bad action and real ivory keys that were yellowing, so i didn't teach at home. At the music store, baldwin studio ok but needed tuning frequently. At the school old wurlitzer that has bad action and no good sound no wonder my students out there aren't very good, and all this time i was thinking it was due to lack of practice :). But I don't have to pay for rent. Would love to have a clavinova, but i think that will have to wait.
