The bulk of my students will be starting out the fall somewhere in Level 1 of PA. What are some of your favorite practice suggestions, games and strategies at this level? I am familiar with practicespot and would enjoy hearing from anyone who uses that resource. I'd really like to start the year helping my students become excited about practicing!
p.s. hope I posted in the right place - love to see a separate practicing category!

During this summer my students have gotten the cards quite a bit.. ie if your playing needs more work pick a card minus the face cards and play the song/ section that many times. The boys like doing the lego building the girls could care less. The picture coloring idea works well with young girls especially if their artistic. I had one student to do a race across her piano with 2 different size frogs (her favorite animal), each time she played the piece she could move whichever frog.. The bigger one was for review the littler was for the new song.

Thanks - those are great ideas. I especially like the cards - that would be a fun way to get things going in the fall.
