Marcia: You mentioned having great success with the Treasures in Technique books. Piano Kid loved those books, & did all the work necessary to earn the stickers. \:\)

I have found PAGE-TURNING to really help the sight reading of those who are weak, because it causes the eyes to track to know when to turn. It was an accident, the first time this helped a student; now, I try to get all those whose sight-playing needs improvement to do lots of turning. Fortunately, there is much of it to be done...

Good point! How often do we make time for (or assign) students to listen to music while following a score?

My younger students enjoy playing "Which Beat?" (using MIDI or playing live)....where they identify the specific beat the music stopped playing.
